Residency and Occupational Health Examinations Provided by Health Facilities Affiliated with Emirates Health Services (EHS)
Regarding the Fees for Medical Examination for Expatriates Entering the State for Work or Residency and Occupational Health Examinations Provided by Health Facilities Affiliated with Emirates Health Services (EHS)
The Cabinet: − Having reviewed The Constitution; − Federal Decree-Law No. (16) of 2016 Establishing the Emirates Health Services Corporation (EHS); − Federal Decree-Law No. (26) of 2019 Regarding Public Finance, as amended; and − Cabinet Resolution No. (7) of 2008 Regarding the Medical Examination System for Expatriates Coming to the State for Work or Residency, as amended; and − Based on the Proposal of the Minister of Finance and the Cabinet's approval thereof, Has resolved as follows:
Definitions For the purpose of applying the provisions of the present Resolution, the following words and expressions shall bear the meanings assigned thereto respectively, unless the context requires otherwise: The State (UAE) : The United Arab Emirates.
The EHS : The Emirates Health Services. Expatriates' Medical Examinations : The mandatory medical examinations that expatriates undergo to ensure that they are free from diseases that pose a risk to the public health.
Residency and Occupational Health Examinations Provided by Health Facilities Affiliated with Emirates Health Services (EHS)
Occupational Medical Examinations : The examinations undergone by occupants of the jobs set out in the Table attached to this Resolution to assess their exposure to pathogens due to the nature of their work and to detect signs of a disease caused by the work or workplace early in order to assess their health condition, ensure their ability to perform the job duties and identify any health hazards that they may be exposed to in the workplace or in the course of discharging their job duties.
Service Fees In return for the medical examination and occupational medical examination services provided to expatriates coming to the State for work or residency by the health facilities affiliated with the EHS, the fees prescribed in the Table attached to this Resolution shall be collected as follows:
1. Fees for Medical Examinations for Expatriates Coming to the State for Work or Residency: The fees prescribed in Clauses (1) through (4) in the Table attached to this Resolution shall be collected in return for the medical examination services provided to expatriates coming to the State for work or residency purposes in order for them to obtain the Certificate of Medical Clearance proving that they are free from diseases that pose a risk to the public health.
2. Fees for Occupational Medical Examinations: The fees prescribed in Clauses (5) through (22) in the Table attached to this Resolution shall be collected in return for the Occupational Medical Examination services provided to occupants of jobs who work inside the State, including the UAE nationals and those who enjoy national treatment, in order for them to obtain the Occupational Health Fitness Certificate, based on an application submitted by any federal or local government entity in the State, any private entity, or any occupant of the jobs set out in the Table attached to this Resolution.

Collection of Fees
The Fees prescribed pursuant to this Resolution shall be collected in the manner determined by the Ministry of Finance.
Executive Resolutions
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the EHS shall issue the resolutions necessary for the implementation of this Resolution.
Repeals
Article (10) of Cabinet Resolution No. (7) of 2008, referred to above, is hereby repealed. In addition, any provision conflicting with or contradicting the provisions of this Resolution is hereby repealed.
Publication and Entry into Force
This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall enter into force (45) forty- five days following the date of its publication.

5. Medical Examination for workers in beauty salons, those who provide relevant services and workers in spas.
