Preamble & recitals
On the Technical Regulation for Safety Requirements for Modified Vehicles
The Cabinet: − Upon reviewing the Constitution; − Federal Law No. (21) of 1995 Concerning Traffic, as amended; − Federal Decree-Law No. (20) of 2020 Concerning Specifications and Standards; − Cabinet Resolution No. (45) of 2016 Concerning Mandatory Standard Specifications for the United Arab Emirates; − The proposal of the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and the approval of the Cabinet; Has resolved as follows:
The Technical Regulation for Safety Requirements for Modified cars, the number and title of which are shown in the Table attached to this Resolution, is a Technical Regulation that is mandatory to be applied in the United Arab Emirates.
The Technical Regulation No. (UAE.S 5014:2016) with the title Safety Requirements for Modified Vehicles approved by the aforementioned Cabinet Resolution No. (45) of 2016 shall be repealed.
This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall enter into force one hundred and eighty (180) days after the date of its publication.
