Terms of Service

By accessing or using uaelaw.ai (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by Avangate Hospitality Services FZE (the "Company," "we," "us"), a free zone establishment registered in the United Arab Emirates, operating under the trade name "uaelaw.ai."

uaelaw.ai is an AI-powered information platform that:

• Provides general information about UAE law in response to questions
• Connects users with sponsoring law firms when professional services are needed
• Offers Pro features (document templates, personal storage, AI retrieval)
• Operates as software-as-a-service (SaaS), not as a law firm

The Service is NOT: a law firm, a substitute for legal advice, an emergency service, or a guarantee of legal accuracy or successful outcomes.

All content on the Service is legal information, not legal advice:

• Legal information explains how the law works in general.
• Legal advice applies the law to your specific situation, taking into account all the facts.

Only a qualified UAE lawyer who has reviewed your specific situation can provide legal advice. Do not rely on the Service for ongoing disputes, court filings, settlements, business compliance, personal status matters, or criminal matters. For these, consult a UAE-licensed lawyer.

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must have legal capacity to form binding contracts under UAE law.
• If using on behalf of an organization, you must have authority to bind it.
• The Service is intended for users in the UAE; international users may access but content is UAE-specific.

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service to you.

We will not sell or transfer your personal data, will not use your private content to train AI models, and will not share content with sponsors except for lead routing you have explicitly initiated.

We may use anonymized, aggregated query data to improve the Service and to identify content gaps. Personally identifiable information is automatically redacted before processing (see Privacy Policy).

• Pro subscriptions auto-renew monthly or annually depending on plan.
• Cancellation effective at end of current billing period; no prorated refund unless required by law.
• Refunds available within 7 days of initial subscription (full prorated refund).
• We may change pricing with 30 days' notice; existing subscribers grandfathered for one renewal cycle.
• VAT 5% applied to UAE-resident subscribers per UAE Federal Tax Authority requirements.

Sponsoring law firms ("Sponsors") are independent businesses, not employees, agents, or affiliates of uaelaw.ai. When you click "Talk to a lawyer" you authorize us to share with the Sponsor: your question, your name/email/phone (if logged in), and your selected legal category and emirate.

We do not share your full question history, vault contents, payment information, or any content you have not explicitly chosen to share. Once your information is routed, the relationship is between you and the Sponsor; we are not party to any subsequent legal services agreement.

You may not:

• Use the Service for illegal purposes
• Circumvent security, rate limits, or usage controls
• Submit deliberately misleading information to manipulate AI responses
• Scrape or systematically extract content
• Resell access to the Service or use it to train competing AI systems
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Harass, defame, or harm others through the Service

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, uptime, and suitability of Sponsors.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY UAE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR AED 1,000, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost profits or data, damages arising from Sponsor legal services, or damages from your reliance on Service content without professional legal review.

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for violation of these Terms or with 30 days' notice for any other reason. You may cancel at any time. Upon termination, Pro features end at the next billing cycle (or immediately if for cause); your data is retained for 30 days then deleted (subject to legal retention requirements).

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and, where applicable, the regulations of the free zone in which Avangate Hospitality Services FZE is registered.

Disputes will be resolved as follows:

1. Good-faith negotiation for 30 days from initial written notice
2. Mediation through Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) if negotiation fails
3. Arbitration under DIAC Rules if mediation fails — seated in Dubai, conducted in English, by a single arbitrator

Either party may seek injunctive relief in any UAE court for matters involving intellectual property, confidentiality, or imminent harm.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 30 days before the effective date, and via banner on the Service for 30 days. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
